When we talk about leadership faith, what exactly are we talking about? One may ask. Well, the answer is pretty straightforward because no leadership can emerge great, without the input of audacious leaders. Every leader who dared to attempt the impossible, did so by the inherent quality of leadership faith. From the brothers who invented the aircraft to the scientist who first journeyed to the moon, you could trace their successes to the faith that kept them going even in the face of profound uncertainty.
Leadership faith has been the distinguishing factor between great leaders and ordinary leaders. We'll be considering some of the characteristics of this pillar of leadership. First and foremost we must recognize that leadership faith is:
- Heart based: leadership faith springs from the heart and not from the head. It has its base at the heart of man. It is not an idea that can be Reasoned out by the brain, but an in depth conviction of the heart. Every vision without a heart connection cannot stand a chance against the several challenges lined up on the way to its actualization. Any leader who strongly believes from his heart in the cause he's leading, will rarely be deterred by the myriads of obstacles that may seek to stop his vision from coming to fruition. Man's heart is a fertile ground where a seed of faith if planted and watered will grow into a tree of trust and assurance. A leader must believe the vision being pursued with all his heart, else he may never see it become a reality. No vision is impossible to attain especially if the vision was received from the manufacturer, because He has equipped the product with all it needs to fulfill the vision in a grand style. It is a common saying that "with men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Pick up that vision that you have written down and ask yourself, " is this the manufacturers prescription for me?" If your answer is yes, then you have nothing to fear because humanity will be blessed by it. This truth should move you to believe it with all your heart and pursue it with all your strength. If you are convinced in your heart that you can pursue the vision to the end no matter the challenges, then you know that you have leadership faith- the force that can propel you to greatness as a leader. Set you heart right because what the heart carries will always influence the activities of the whole body. A man without a heart for a given cause can never emerge a leader, the best he can be is a boss......
